Community Centers are built for people to gather and discuss their interests, solve problems, and participate in social activities.  Community building is of utmost importance in the development of cultural and social welfare services. Unfortunately, community centers are scarce in the far-northern Gorkha region. 

Responding to this scarcity, MTH aims to help build new centers and enhance existing mountain community centers.  MTH empowers rural communities to work together towards transformation and social-economic progress by doing so.  The community center has been found central to this progress.
